@mediaumno : Keadilan untuk semua belum dicapai? — Zulkifli Jalil

Kelmarin, Setiausaha Agung DAP, Lim Guan Eng membuat sidang akhbar di Pulau Pinang menafikan pernah "menyebut" seperti yang dilaporkan di muka hadapan Mingguan Malaysia terbitan 7 Oktober 2012.

Nampaknya, Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang itu sekali lagi menyinga terhadap akhbar ini. Beliau seperti mana dilaporkan portal propembangkang, Malaysiakini mendakwa Utusan Malaysia "memutar" fakta untuk menjejaskan nama baiknya melalui laporan berhubung ucapannya dalam satu perjumpaan bersama sekumpulan pemimpin gereja di Pulau Pinang, Khamis lalu.
Namun, apa pun kata Guan Eng, beliau memang ada hak untuk bercakap apa sahaja dan membuat penafian.

Dan tanpa prejudis atau prasangka, ucapan Guan Eng dalam perjumpaan dengan sekumpulan pemimpin gereja itu dipetik akhbar ini daripada Malaysiakini sendiri.
Berikut dipaparkan laporan daripada wartawan portal berita berkenaan, Susan Loone pada 11.54am 5 Oktober 2012:

"Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang Lim Guan Eng berkata, penganut Kristian tidak harus berdiam diri walaupun merasakan mereka tidak bersalah, suci dan tidak terlibat dalam perbuatan salah".
Bercakap di hadapan 300 pemimpin gereja, Lim berkata, walaupun penganutnya bertanggungjawab di hadapan tuhan, penting untuk mereka menyuarakan "keadilan untuk semua" — slogan yang juga menjadi seruan Pakatan Rakyat.

"Gereja boleh memainkan peranan (menentang ketidakadilan) untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang lebih kuat," katanya dalam program dialog di negeri itu semalam.
Turut hadir exco negeri Abdul Malik Abdul Kassim, Wong Hon Wai dan Pengerusi Persekutuan Kristian Malaysia, Pulau Pinang Bishop Emeritus Antony Selvanayagam.

Dalam sesi dua jam itu, Lim diminta berkongsi cabaran yang dihadapi dalam menangani isu-isu berkaitan gereja sejak mengambil alih pentadbiran negeri pada daripada BN pada 2008.
Saya (penulis) tidak mahu mengulas lanjut akan penafian Guan Eng kelmarin dan kenyataannya kepada sekumpulan paderi tersebut, Khamis lalu.

Tetapi saya mahu rakyat merenung dan menilai secara bijaksana apakah "keadilan untuk semua" masih belum dicapai atau dinikmati setakat hari ini di sebuah negara yang makmur dan harmoni bernama Malaysia?

Setiap rakyat Malaysia sebenarnya bertuah dilahirkan di negara ini yang mempunyai kepelbagaian kaum. Pengalaman krisis politik di negara Arab seperti Mesir, Tunisia, Syria dan Libya hanya menimbulkan kemusnahan, kerosakan harta benda awam, pertumpahan dan pembunuhan. Ia membawa kepada keruntuhan ekonomi dan kemakmuran.

Kita sememangnya bertuah tinggal di Malaysia. Kajian Indeks Keamanan Global (GPI) 2011 oleh Institut Ekonomi dan Keamanan Antarabangsa yang berpusat di Sydney, Australia menunjukkan Malaysia menduduki tempat ke-19 daripada 153 negara yang mampu mengekalkan kestabilan politik dan keamanan negara. Malaysia juga negara paling aman di Asia Tenggara dan ke-4 di Asia Pasifik selepas New Zealand, Jepun dan Australia. Ini adalah julung kalinya Malaysia diberi ranking setinggi itu sejak 2007. Di kalangan negara Islam pula, Malaysia menduduki tempat kedua selepas Qatar apabila negara itu diletakkan di tangga ke-12 dan negara paling selamat di Asia Barat.
Laporan kajian "Doing Business" 2012 pula menempatkan Malaysia pada kedudukan ke-18 dan mengekalkan status sebagai negara terunggul di dunia bagi mengumpul kredit, keempat di dunia bagi langkah untuk melindungi pelabur. Dalam kajian terbaru oleh Crescent Rating, Malaysia berada di tempat pertama sebagai destinasi Organisasi Konferensi Islam (OKI) untuk kategori Halal Friendly dalam kelompok 10 buah negara iaitu Mesir, Turki, Indonesia, Emeriyah Arab Bersatu, Maghribi, Tunisia, Jordan, Brunei dan Qatar.

Ini fakta dan data dikeluarkan oleh pihak yang berwibawa. Rakyat Malaysia terdidik dengan nilai-nilai murni iaitu penerimaan dengan menghormati bukan sahaja kebudayaan kaum masing-masing tetapi juga pencapaian kaum tertentu hasil titik peluh sendiri.
Daripada 20 orang kaya di Malaysia, orang Melayu hanya tiga orang (15 peratus) manakala Cina 16 orang (80 peratus) dan India seorang (lima peratus).

Sehingga tahun 2008, bilangan profesional Bumiputera ialah seramai 68,776 orang iaitu 42.5 peratus atau 0.33 peratus daripada bilangan penduduk Bumiputera di negara ini. Bilangan profesional kaum Cina pula seramai 60,768 (45.5 peratus) daripada populasi penduduk Cina manakala India (12,224 atau 0.64 peratus).

Pada 2008, jumlah pemilikan ekuiti ialah seperti berikut:
● Bumiputera sebanyak 21.9 peratus.
● Bukan Bumiputera sejumlah 36.7 peratus.
● Warga asing pula sebanyak 37.9 peratus.
● Nominee sebanyak 3.5 peratus.

Sehingga 2008, data menunjukkan sasaran ekuiti Bumiputera belum mencapai sasaran yang ditetapkan iaitu 30 peratus (DEB). Usaha perlu terus dibuat untuk memastikan kedudukan ini tercapai (jumlah penduduk Bumiputera ialah 67 peratus). Bagaimanapun, kedudukan ekuiti Bumiputera boleh dianggap baik berbanding pada 1970 dengan Bumiputera memegang 2.4 peratus sahaja. Jumlah peningkatan dari tahun 1970-2008 ialah sebanyak 19.5 peratus.

Bagaimana pula peratusan pemilikan premis perniagaan berdasarkan kaum?
Sehingga 2007, pemilikan bangunan oleh Bumiputera berada pada kadar 15 peratus sahaja iaitu pemilikan bangunan (15.7 peratus), kompleks perniagaan (29.2 peratus), premis perindustrian (3.5 peratus) dan hotel (20.8 peratus).

Pemilikan terbesar ialah oleh kaum Cina iaitu 76.1 peratus dengan mereka memiliki bangunan (75.7 peratus), kompleks perniagaan (61.9 peratus), premis perindustrian (87.2 peratus) dan hotel (54 peratus). Kaum India pula memiliki 3.8 peratus daripada keseluruhan premis perniagaan iaitu bangunan (4.3 peratus), kompleks perniagaan (2.9 peratus), premis perindustrian (1.5 peratus) dan hotel (2.7 peratus). Pemilikan harta dalam kalangan Bumiputera masih rendah berbanding orang bukan Bumiputera terutama kaum Cina.

Fakta-fakta yang dibentangkan oleh saya tadi hanya sekelumit daripada kebijaksanaan akal fikiran rakyat Malaysia yang menjadikan persefahaman sebagai asas untuk mengekalkan keharmonian, keamanan dan ketenteraman di negara ini.

Apakah "keadilan untuk semua" belum tercapai? Kalaulah kita boleh bertanya kepada Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang —"Mana satu yang betul Guan Eng?" — Utusan Malaysia
